The following is some of the promotional material we had prepared back in the early stages of X-Golf. It had evolve to a much more elaborate system towards the end of development but this should provide a pretty clear picture of what X-Golf was all about.

How Does All this work?

Paradox Solutions, along with a licensed electrician, will install wireless access points throughout the course. Equipment will also be installed into each golf cart in the form of laptops. These laptops will be able to communicate with a central server located at the clubhouse via the discretely placed wireless access points. If golfers do not want to use a cart they have the option of using a handheld device that has the same capabilities of a laptop on a much smaller scale. These hand held devices would be small enough to fit in the pouch of a standard golf bag, and have the ability to be mounted to a pull cart.

Introduction - What is XGolf?
XGolf is a technologydriven software system that combines many aspects of golf into one easy to use system. XGolf is all about access; it allows everything from keeping score, to ordering food, to chatting online with other golfers, to even checking your email while on the course. It truly is a modern system for today's modern golfer.

Scoring - XGolf has two methods for keeping score. The first is a standard scorecard. It is simply formatted to look exactly like a typical paper scorecard.

The second method of keeping score is the interactive system. The Interactive Scoring System has a picture of the tee shot and the green shot, as well as generic tips and course data about the hole, along with a place at the bottom of the screen to enter your score. When finished you simply press the next button. If you want to go back and change a score just press the back button.

Both systems are quite fun and easy to use.

Ordering Food - Depending on course rules, golfers would have the ability to place an order for food from anywhere on the course and either have it waiting for them at a designated food and drink pick up point, or have it brought directly to them.

Online Communication - Due to the nature of the equipment this system utilizes, it will be possible for golfers to have full internet access while on the course. This type of communication will be regulated by course rules, however, it has the ability to include email, talk over instant messenger,

Video and Voice Conferencing (Extra Hardware required). Almost any function that can be performed at the office that requires the internet can now be performed at the course. Common examples include checking stock prices and sports scores.

Why do you want XGolf?
1. Installation of the XGolf system is completely free. Along with installation maintenance is free with the exception of player abuse, terms and conditions apply.

2. Not only will XGolf bring increased revenue to the course through concession sales, but due to the added value of the course, management now has the option of increasing fees for the use of their equipment.

3. Management will have the ability to convert seemingly random data into useful reports containing information such as sales forecasting, product performance, marketing information, and others.

a. The XGolf system provides management with the ability to better track and maintain course interests, such as; equipment, goods, and course activities.

b. Management, while utilizing XGolf will gain point of sale opportunities, such as: the seamless integration of the golf course with the club house, enabling patrons to consume goods

Why do you want XGolf?
XGolf has the potential to increase sales and customer satisfaction. Given the amount of competition in the industry today, every advantage, no matter how great or small could impact the operations of a course. XGolf is an advantageous system that is easy to maintain and costs nothing to install. It is the ultimate low cost high yield management system. A few facts about XGolf:

•  XGolf is projected to increase the profit earned from point of sales of a typical 18 hole golf course by 30% or more.

a. Product management operations will be streamlined due to the functionality of the XGolf system. Tasks such as product sales forecasts, Product actual sales, operational cost analysis and many more will become automated to an extent through the use of the XGolf system.

b. Point of Sales process would become much more efficient given the capabilities of the XGolf system to better manage product performance, product sales through the advent of the on-course ordering system, and product ordering given the systems ability to track quantity sold and in stock at all times.

Estimated payback schedule from an 18 hole course
A typical golf season in Connecticut runs from April roughly through Late September and possibly into early October. Given a typical 18 hole golf course and with an estimated 24 to 28 weeks in the golf season Paradox Solutions would require approximately $4500 weekly to maintain this system. Out of 4 golf courses that we surveyed in the greater Hartford area the average number of golfers were week indicated a surplus of 2000 golfers throughout the season. If the course was to raise green fees by $3 per game they would make an extra $6000 weekly. After paying Paradox Solutions the $4500 that was owed to us the remainder would be the courses to use at their own discretion. After the golf season was complete the course could make an extra $40,000 for the season just by installing the XGolf system.

Financial Information
The quality of the XGolf system comes from its cost effectiveness and profitability for the client. The systems profitability works in two ways, first its initial ability to increase the clients value thus allowing them to charge more for course use, and second its ability to increase revenue gained through point of sales of the club house/restaurant.

The cost of installation as well as the cost of operation is free, in lieu of an installation or maintenance charge, Paradox Solutions will charge the course that utilizes XGolf a royalty fee based on a pay by play system.

The pay by play system operates simply, the public course would increase the fee required per round of golf thus incurring no cost for the added system. To make the system even more lucrative, Paradox Solutions will negotiate a monthly fee based upon the pay by play system. This monthly fee will be negotiated between the client and Paradox Solutions based on average rounds of golf played in a given month, once that figure is reached any additional revenue generated by the system is the courses to keep.
